At FUNDEHI we work hand in hand with the Colombian Family Welfare Institute (ICBF) to provide comprehensive care to young children in Comuna 4 of Cazucá, Soacha.
For more than a decade, CDI FUNDEHI has grown into a place to learn, play, eat well, develop skills, feel safe and grow up in community.
In 2026 we supported 111 children, offering care that goes beyond education. Our work brings together learning, food security, well-being, protection and support for families.
Care that supports the whole family
Every child arrives with their own story, needs and family background. That's why we provide comprehensive care that supports their development and also strengthens the families who are part of the process.
Early education
We create learning experiences that strengthen cognitive, communication, social, emotional and motor skills through play, exploration and meaningful learning.
Food and nutrition security
We provide proper meals as a core part of children's well-being and development, along with nutritional monitoring and guidance.
Support for families
We create spaces for guidance and support for families, taking into account the different social and family situations that can affect children's well-being.
Psychosocial guidance
We support families going through vulnerable situations, offering guidance and tools that strengthen their abilities and family relationships.
Care and protection
We foster safe, caring and respectful environments where every child can feel cared for, heard and valued.
Community work
Our work is rooted in the community and seeks to strengthen its abilities, opportunities and support networks.
Our team
We have a team of 15 people who, in different roles, contribute every day to the children's well-being and development: teachers, teaching assistants, food handlers, a nutritionist, essential services staff and an administrative team.
Besides contributing to comprehensive early childhood care, the CDI is an opportunity for job creation and for strengthening local talent.
More than education, we build opportunities
Every learning experience, every meal, every piece of guidance for a family and every caring space share the same purpose: creating the conditions for children to grow, develop and build better opportunities from their earliest years.
Because transforming a life from early childhood also means transforming the possibilities of a family and of an entire community.
